Workshop: Low cost, no cost – Reasonable adjustments in IT

8th February 2007, 00:00am - 00:01am, Central London Past event

Effective solutions and enhancements are available to make computing work easier for users with disabilities, for users with pain and discomfort, in fact for every computer user.

Designed and run by Bill Fine of AbilityNet, this workshop gives you the opportunity to try out practical adjustments that are free or cost less than £100.

AbilityNet is a national charity that makes it easier for disabled adults to use computers and the internet by adapting and adjusting their technology.

Why attend?

This event will enable you to:

  • Make full and effective use of the free alternatives and options in Microsoft Windows and standard software.
  • React quickly and effectively when occupational health or disability issues are first reported.
  • Understand the range of low-cost solutions.
  • Demonstrate, in a practical way, that the individual employee really is more important than the computer.

Who should attend?

Occupational health professionals, health and safety advisers, disability, diversity and equal opportunities practitioners, HR managers, and those responsible for workstation assessment or IT support and development.

"Bill Fine is possibly the most interesting and engaging presenter that I have ever seen. His enthusiasm for the topic is contagious."

Delegate from Low cost, no cost – Reasonable adjustments in IT, Friday 27 January 2006.
