Delivering Disability Equality in Glasgow

31st May 2007

Rick Williams at the conferenceEmployer's Forum on Disability (EFD) is today hosting the Delivering Disability Equality event in Glasgow. Following the success of a previous event in London, this event will allow staff from Scottish local authorities to reflect on the work they have completed on the Disability Equality Scheme. It will explore and address the issues relating to disability equality impact assessments.

The event is being headlined by Rick Williams, Director of Freeney Williams Ltd, a leading consultant on Disability Equality Schemes, the Disability Discrimination Act and how disability affects business.

Rick Williams, Director of Freeney Williams Ltd, says: "It is becoming clear that the key requirement of the Disability Equality Duty on public authorities to undertake impact assessments on their policies, practices and procedures is proving challenging. This event will de-mystify the process and give practical advice and guidance on how to undertake such assessments."
