British Airways reaches for the skies on disability

British Airways, the UK's largest international scheduled airline, has become the latest organisation to join Employers' Forum on Disability (EFD) as a gold member.
The leading airline joined EFD in 1992 and now becomes a key contributor to the world’s leading employer-led disability organisation.
Val Bradon, Diversity Executive for BA, said: “We are very pleased to be joining EFD’s gold group, and in doing so, build on the work we have already done with EFD.
“We are looking forward, with EFD’s help, to find practical ways to improve our support and service for disabled staff and customers.”
Susan Scott-Parker, chief executive of EFD said: "We are delighted that British Airway has shown its commitment to disability confidence by becoming an EFD gold member.
"The gold group’s commitment underpins EFD’s work. As core funders their support is fundamental in building our capacity to make it easier to employ disabled people, serve disabled customers and value disabled people as stakeholders.
“We are looking forward to forging a close relationship with British Airways that will help us build our capacity to provide practical advice for EFD’s growing membership."
