EFD welcomes appointment of new Ministers Phil Hope and Tony McNulty

EFD today welcomes the appointment of Phil Hope and Tony McNulty as Ministers in the new government.
Phil Hope MP replaces Ivan Lewis as Minister of State for Care Services and takes over responsibility for learning disability, carers and social care issues at the Department of Health. He now oversees the Learning Disability Task Force and the Valuing People Now work. Tony McNulty MP is the new Employment Minister, replacing Stephen Timms.
Susan Scott-Parker, Chief Executive of Employer's Forum on Disability said: "We congratulate Phil Hope and and Tony McNulty on their minsterial appointments. EFD enjoys a good relationship with both the Department of Health and Department for Work and Pensions.
"We look forward to working with Tony McNulty to make it easier for employers to employ disabled people and serve disabled customers. EFD has worked on the Learning Disability Task Force and with the Valuing People Now team under Ivan Lewis, and looks forward to working with Phil Hope in the same way."
