David Kogan

David Kogan is Chief Executive and co-founder of Reel Enterprises Ltd., a company specialising in rights negotiations, channel development and sport in the UK and global media markets. Reel was formed in 1998 and includes broadcasters, sports federations, digital platforms and interactive companies on its client list.
David began his career in newspapers in 1979. He then worked as a journalist in radio and newspapers, and co-authored two books on British politics.
In 1982 he joined the BBC where he worked as a senior producer on news and current affairs programmes, including ‘Today', ‘Newsnight' and ‘Breakfast Time'. He was the BBC Radio Editor in New York in 1984/5.
In 1988 he joined Reuters Television as Managing Editor. He subsequently became Managing Director in the UK and was then, for three years, the global Managing Director. He also acted as the launch Managing Editor of GMTV in 1993.
In 1996 David joined the Granada Media Group as Executive Director of Granada Channels which he left to create Reel Enterprises in 1998.
David Kogan was educated at Oxford University where he gained a BA (Hons) in Modern History. He is married with 2 children. He is a Fellow of the Royal Television Society and a Governor of Luton University.
