The Broadcasting and Creative Industries Disability Network has published 'Adjusting the Picture; a Producer's Guide to Disability' in conjunction with the Independent Television Commission (ITC). The Guide is intended for programme makers working in all types of programming - everything from news to drama, light entertainment to children's, and factual to sport.

It dispels some myths about the perceived complications which might deter producers from actively recruiting people with disabilities for their crews, cast or as participants in programmes and audiences. It gives useful practical guidance on ways in which any necessary adjustments might be made. Above all, it encourages producers to see beyond the stereotypes and access a range of talent, ideas and experience of which they might not have been aware.
