Manifesto & Action Plans
The BCIDN's most important event of 2006 involved Chief Executives and other senior executives from BCIDN member organisations. Held on Monday 9th October 2006 at BAFTA, the event was chaired by David Kogan (BCIDN Chair) and Gary O'Donaghue, BCIDN Associate and BBC Political Correspondent.
Member organisations provided reports updating their progress to implementing their BCIDN Disability Manifesto Commitments – see the member company reports section below.
The event specifically looked at progress on Employment, on Portrayal, and on other issues including technology and access.
BCIDN commissioned a You Gov poll on public attitudes to the portrayal of disabled people on TV for the event. The results can be found at Research: You Gov Survey in the Guide for Broadcasting and Creative Industry Professionals section.
Member company reports
A number of organisations have provided member reports for 2006. We have reproduced a number of these, and they are shown below. The original reports are also available should you prefer to read those instead.
Some member reports were not reproduced BCIDN, either due to the style of report or difficulty in reproducing the report. In these cases we provide the reports in their original form using the links below.
