The Information Team at the Employers' Forum on Disability provides a wealth of information, policy advice and practical solutions to member organisations. Whilst the Forum cannot provide responses to non-member queries, the following resources are available to non-members.
- The Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA): an introduction to the Disability Discrimination Act , the legislation which makes it unlawful to discriminate against people with disabilities in employment, access to goods and services and buying and selling land/property
- Web links: links to disability related sites around the world.
- Corporate Social Responsibility: research into the social responsibility practices of organisations, since superseded by Realising potential
Disability Rights Commission makes Disability Equality Scheme Assessment Template available
As the 4th December deadline for public authorities to submit their Disability Equality Schemes approaches, the Disability Rights Commission has made available their Assessment Template.
The template will be used to assess all Disability Equality Schemes and their compliance with the specific duties.
This template is for the use of staff at the Disability Rights Commission only, but is being published on the DRC's website to provide transparency for public authorities. The template is available to download here:
