Disability becomes a strategic focus for Accenture
Accenture have become the latest organisation to join the Employers' Forum on Disability (EFD) gold group.
A global management consulting, technology services and outsourcing company, Accenture has been a member of EFD since January 2003. As a gold member and core funder of EFD, Accenture has positioned the firm at the heart of building the business case on disability.
Commenting on Accenture's new commitment, Deborah Campbell, senior executive enablement network leader said: “Building, maintaining and expanding an inclusive culture is central to Accenture's ongoing success.
“Drawing together diverse qualities enables us to deliver innovation, and we sponsor programmes that encourage understanding and tolerance according to disability, race, age, gender, sexual orientation and faith.
“Enablement is a key focus area for us this year and, becoming a gold member of EFD, helps pave the way to achieving our objective of better supporting and enabling both our disabled employees and customers.
“EFD can provide us with expert information and guidance to help us successfully deliver programmes that will lead to improved change in the make-up of our organisation.”
Susan Scott-Parker, chief executive of EFD said: “Accenture have shown, by becoming an EFD gold member that they take disability equality seriously at the highest level. We look forward working with Accenture on strategic projects that change the experience of their disabled staff and clients for the better.”
