InterContinental Hotels Group scoop top Remploy award

Holiday Inn (IHG) accept their award from businessman Richard Farley
Holiday Inn Edinburgh, part of Employers' Forum on Disability (EFD) gold member InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), has scooped the award for 'Innovation' at this year's Remploy Leading the Way Awards.
The hotel was praised by Remploy chief executive Bob Warner for efforts made in employing, training and retaining disabled staff.
Other EFD members to be recognised at the prestigious event, now in its 11th year, were Civil Service - Royal Navy, Portsmouth, Hampshire (Large Business) and Morgan Stanley, Glasgow (Learning).
Remploy chief executive Bob Warner told the audience at the awards: “It is always a privilege to applaud those businesses and individuals that go the extra mile in the employment of disabled people.
“Thanks to the example that many of you in this room have set, more employers are understanding the benefits of employing disabled people and helping to create a level playing field for disabled job seekers.”
Remploy is the country's leading provider of employment services for disabled people and the prestigious awards, run this year in association with The Times, recognise outstanding employers and individuals who have made significant efforts to actively encourage diversity within their organisations.
