Employers' Forum on Disability appoints new broadcasting network manager
Employers' Forum on Disability (EFD) has appointed a new manager for its Broadcasting and Creative Industries Disability Network (BCIDN), Clare Morrow.

Clare Morrow
Clare is an experienced television programming executive who has spent more than twenty years working with ITV and the BBC in television and radio across Yorkshire and the north of England. Until April 2007 she was the Controller of Programmes North for ITV.
Clare was one of ITV's diversity champions and led the way at the channel in increasing the employment and portrayal of people from ethnic minorities and those with disabilities.
Clare says: “I am delighted to be joining Employers' Forum on Disability's BCIDN at a time when I believe the broadcasters want to find ways to involve more people with disabilities in their programming and their production teams.
“The industry has had some notable successes in this area, and I'm very keen to work with it to build on those and make a real difference.”
Clare's additional responsibilities include:
- Non executive director Yorkshire Tourist Board
- Member of University of Bradford's Industrial Advisory Board
- Chairwoman, Leeds Distraction Burglary Community Initiative 2002 to 2004 – multi agency community fund project keeping older people safe from crime.
- Board member West Yorkshire Playhouse
- Trustee and former Chairwoman Rett Syndrome Association UK – a national charity which helps families of sufferers of this rare condition
- Special School Governor at two schools one for children with moderate and severe learning disabilities and the second at a residential school for children with profound learning disabilities.
